Book Early To Avoid Disappointment
Due to the sheer numbers of undergraduates, graduates and post graduates moving in and out of their student digs, the months of September and June are especially busy for us as we safely move student belongings across York and the UK. If you require our student removal services during these busy periods it is advisable to contact us well in advance of your move date to make sure you can secure the men and the van that you need to help on the day.
We get a lot of students phoning us up a couple of days prior to their move and bizarrely enough, on the actual day asking us to move them! Unfortunately the majority of the time we have to turn this work away because we are fully booked from morning till night and just can not fit any more moves in so please take our advice and book early to avoid disappointment and above all, stress for you having to try and get your removal service sorted out!

Students on a Budget
The beginning of September is a very busy time for York removals as many students move into halls of residence or out of the campus to share flats with friends. All students moving house are on a budget so here is our advice for ensuring the most cost effective move.
Consider a man with a van to help with your move to Uni. Halls of residence supply beds and furniture so all you have to move is your clothes and personal items. Many student houses are also furnished allowing you to move in straight away. A man with a van will be cheaper and you will probably find you can fit everything in with room to spare. Even if you’re in your second or third year of University, whatever belongings you’ve built up – we’ll be pleased to help by moving your student possessions with great care.
Join forces with friends. If you are moving out of halls and into student housing with friends consider teaming up so you can both be moved at the same time. You can then cut the costs in two making moving house half the price.
Cut down your cargo. If you are returning to your home town many miles away consider hiring a removal firm to give unwanted furniture and items to charity. This way you can probably travel home on the train without covering the costs of removals for hundreds of miles.
